    Behrman Capital is a middle-market private equity investment firm with more than $4 billion of capital under management across five funds. Founded in New York in 1991, the firm invests in management buyouts, leveraged buildups and recapitalizations of established growth companies. Since there founding they have acquired more than 30 platform companies and have completed in excess of 70 add-on acquisitions, transforming well-positioned businesses into industry leaders. Target companies typically have revenues ranging from $25 million to $250 million. Behrman's equity investments are generally between $25 million and $100 million. In 1996 the firm expanded with an additional office in San Francisco. Behrman's investments have been focused in five industries: Health Care, Defense, Specialty Manufacturing, Business to Business Outsourcing, and Information Technology.
