The firm will make initial investments of $500,000 - $1,500,000 in early-stage companies and provide ongoing support and follow-on investments in later rounds. Better Ventures is currently pursuing opportunities in three investment themes: opportunity (low-cost web & mobile technologies), health (cloud analytics to enable improved diagnosis and better preventative health), and sustainability (technology-driven innovations towards a more sustainable economy). Better Ventures encourages their entrepreneurs to spend a minimum of 4-6 months working at ImpactHUB Bay Area (with locations in San Francisco, Oakland, and Berkeley) to take advantage of their full suite of services, collaborate with peers, and immerse themselves in the San Francisco Bay Area startup culture.
