HT Capital Advisors, LLC is a private investment and merchant banking firm with offices in New York, Chicago and Paris. With a history that goes back well over half a century, HT Capital was originally the investment banking arm of Hill, Thompson, Magid & Co., until 1999 when the firm was sold to the Royal Bank of Canada. The firm's clientele consists primarily of established and emerging middle market companies and financial institutions throughout the United States and Europe. HT Capital will make direct investments in selected companies. The firm will invest its own capital; co-invest with private equity firms; or partner with other high net worth individuals. The firm's preferred investment size is typically $250,000 - $5,000,000 in equity. Generally, HT will invest in companies doing between $5,000,000 and $50,000,000 in sales, targeting companies in manufacturing, distribution or service businesses. HT is not particularly interested in retail or highly regulated businesses.
