Jupiter Partners is a private investment firm organized to invest in management buyouts, industry consolidations and growth capital opportunities. Jupiter has organized two funds with total invested capital of $600 million. Jupiter typically provides equity of between $15 million and $80 million for each investment. Although focused on making outright acquisitions, the firm has made non-control investments along-side other investment groups, industrial partners, or directly in public or private companies. Jupiter Partners pursues opportunities in a broad spectrum of service industries, targeting companies with demonstrated cash generation capability and/or superior growth prospects, but has special interest in four areas: business services and solutions, health care services, distribution and logistics, and specialty consumer/retail. The firm's chief geographical focus for investment is the United States, although international investments are considered if a strong local partner is participating.
