    Description:

MCDC provides innovative financing and business development products that create income opportunities for all members of the community. MCDC successfully manages investments from government and private organizations. More than $5 million is invested in the Revolving Loan Fund, and $1.5 million more in the Montana Fund. MCDC has lent $9 million to over 350 western Montana businesses. The Montana Fund provides flexible capital for rapidly-growing companies. The firm's funds can function as equity for companies that are expanding rapidly in strong markets. The Montana Fund does not take any ownership interest in client companies. Funding of up to $250,000 is structured as an amortized loan with an additional payment that is based on the company's achieved revenue. A typical Montana Fund investee has established sales (usually at least $750,000 per year); a sales growth forecast of 10-20% per year; proven profit margins that will support a revenue-share payment; strong management; and a well-supported written growth strategy.
