Mutual Capital Partners, LLC (MCP) is the General Partner of Mutual Capital Partners Fund I, LP (MCPF), a venture fund investing in post-revenue, liquidity-challenged, growth businesses located in the Midwest. The firm's investments in companies will typically be non-majority holdings. MCPF prefers to lead investments in which it actively participates in corporate governance through representation on the company's board of directors. MCPF's ideal investment candidates have $1 million or more of run-rate revenue; gross margins of 50% or higher; equity capital needs of less than $10 million; with at least 5 reference customers renewing and/or expanding their business; and corporate offices in Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, or western Pennsylvania/New York. The firm recently closed on over $20 million for MCPF II and is actively reviewing opportunities.
