Nazem and Company, established in 1976, is an alternative asset management investment firm. The firm invests in all stages of enterprise development, from seed stage to follow-on financings to late-stage pre-IPO financings. It also invests in stress and turnaround situations where the firm can lead the reorganization efforts. The firm focuses primarily on companies in the healthcare and technology sectors. Transatlantic Venture Partners is a venture capital fund organized in the Netherlands Antilles in 1995 and is co-managed by Nazem and Company and BNP Paribas (formerly Banque Nationale de Paris). Over the last 35 years, Nazem and Company has shepherded some 300 companies, taken more than 50 public, and some two dozen of them have achieved revenues and market values in excess of $1 billion.
