Novations Inc. is a privately held venture capital firm founded in 1998. Its principal and founder, Marc Blumenthal, has an extensive background in investment management, entrepreneurship, education and technology innovation. At the age of 19, while a student at the University of Pennsylvania, he participated in his first startup company as Vice President of The American Book Club. Novations has selectively partnered with a variety of cutting edge scientists, physicians, and engineers who are leaders in their fields, to develop, patent, and/or commercialize technologies in Aerospace, Medical Devices, Personal Care Products, Marine Industry, and Hospitality, which are focused on markets primarily exceeding one billion dollars. Novations also focuses on developing sustainable business strategies for a variety of 'social' ventures which directly impact poverty reduction in developing nations. These include the Small Business Innovation Commercialization Fund (SBIC) and the Bottom of the Pyramid Fund (BOP).
