Shoreline Venture Management, LLC is a venture capital firm established in 1998 to manage the Shoreline Venture Partners funds (SVP I and SVP II), as well as future investment funds. The firm's primary focus is on seed and early stage opportunities. Shoreline invests selectively in Healthcare Diagnostics, Healthcare IT, Novel Therapies and IT Infrastructure Software. The directors will consider opportunities in life sciences and the food, and food ingredient sectors. Shoreline's current commitments include food ingredients, soft drugs, commercial Internet privacy, supply chain logistics, digital asset identification and tracking, and networked data storage. The majority of the firm's portfolio companies are based in California and elsewhere in the United States. The Shoreline team has invested $80 million in 30 companies, a number of which have established leadership positions in their markets. Shoreline's initial investments are in seed and Series A rounds, as little as $250,000, and over the life of a portfolio company could total $8 million in multiple rounds.
