    Description:

Stonewood Capital Management is a private, Pittsburgh-based investment firm managed by a small group of professionals. Stonewood is not a fund, so it can be very flexible in its approach to investing. Stonewood is primarily interested in acquiring positions in companies or operating units that fit the following profile: Manufacturing, assembly or distribution businesses; Sales between $5 and $60 million; $1 to $10 million in EBITDA; Profitable, with stable margins; Located in the eastern United States or Canada; and a Diversified customer base. In terms of the Early-Stage investment arena, Stonewood views itself as an 'institutional angel,' providing not only capital, but business expertise and advice to companies that are in the early phase of their development. The firm most often participates when a company is raising between $500,000 and $5 million. Stonewood typically invests between $100,000 and $1 million and has made twenty investments in early-stage companies during the past three years--all but two of them in the greater Pittsburgh area.
