TDF is a venture capital fund focused on the communications sector. TDF has over $80 million in capital under management and offers financing in the form of equity investments ranging from $500,000 to $5.0 million per initial investment in early and later stage communications and technology companies. Approximately 75% of the firm's investments share similar characteristics: Series A, pre-revenue, and TDF-led with board representation. The fund makes investments in preferred equity and is focused on investment opportunities in the communications sector. Current areas of focus include security, the intersection of social media in the enterprise, distributed data centers, cloud services, software defined networks, the automation of business functions, small cell solutions, mobility, anything as a service. The firm invests from a $150 million permanent pool of capital and are currently investing out of Fund IV.
