    Description:

    TI established a corporate VC program in 1996 and remains an active investor today. TI's Venture Capital (TIVC) Program is designed to: Provide TI with strategic awareness of new technologies and markets, allow close partnering with TI's business teams and external venture capital firms on investment and alliance opportunities, and provide financial return for TI. TI is interested in working with companies that are developing new products and applications that support TI's semiconductor platforms, such as TI's OMAP and DaVinci platforms. TI is also interested in emerging technologies and advanced architectures that complement its businesses including: Advanced architectures for wireless handsets; Data converter, power management and other advanced analog technologies; Medical devices, including medical imaging, portable devices and implantables; Advanced processor and networking technologies; and Sensors and low-power wireless technologies.
