Founded in 1984, Telmarc is an investment and technology development and advisory company. Telmarc has been directly involved in the development of over three dozen companies over the past twenty three years and has raised several hundred million dollars in the process. Telmarc provides Seed and First Level Venture Financing for its portfolio companies. It also assists in the raising of other rounds of financing. Frequently Telmarc will also take an active role in the development and management of the company. Recent focus has been on the development of Fiber to the Home communications systems and services, wireless grids and mesh systems and services, and advanced satellite system technologies. Telmarc is currently financing and supporting wireless mesh companies assessing how best to combine fiber and wireless for broadband coverage. Telmarc focuses on: Telecommunications: Broadband, IP and Wireless; Software: Enterprise Systems and Solutions; Medical Software: Practice and Clinical Management; and Litigation Support (the firm has recently supported damages claims on several cases). Telmarc has also been actively developing and investing in medical technology and genomics areas.
