    Description:

The Texas Women Ventures Fund (TWVF) started investing in 2005 with a goal to help women-owned businesses reach their full potential. The fund focuses on companies in the Southwest with an established track record who are achieving $10 to $100 million in revenue. For these businesses, the group's 'Dequity' capital can provide an opportunity to take the company to the next level. Dequity is debt that performs a lot like equity. Portfolio companies get the money in the form of a loan and maintain control. TWVF was founded by successful women who have experience building careers and companies and provide mentoring, networking opportunities and valuable connections to women entrepreneurs. TWVF does not invest in start-ups or turnarounds. The fund has more than 40 entrepreneurs and executives as investors.
