White Road Investments is based in Emeryville, CA and was founded by Gary Erickson -- owner of Clif Bar & Company. White Road seeks out and invests in healthy, active lifestyle brands including Big Tree Farms, Public Bikes, Honest Kitchen, Guayaki and Wild Planet Foods. White Road's five aspirations in investments are centered around the planet, people, community, business, and brands. The firm seeks out partners that are intensely product focused, mission driven and between $2 million to $20 million in revenue. White Road will invest from $500,000 to $2 million in equity to enable growth. Erickson and Crawford (co-owner of Clif Bars) also own the Clif Family Winery & Farm in the Napa Valley, which had its first national release in 2008.
