Marina Hatsopoulos, Principal, is an entrepreneur and an angel investor who has created Windy Street to identify promising new technologies to commercialize into high-growth, profitable businesses by providing capital and strategic oversight. Windy Street was set up to identify active and passive investment opportunities in seed-stage entrepreneurial ventures, with a particular focus on electromechanical technologies. The core technology should have strong intellectual property as well as a sizeable market opportunity in the field of electromechanical hardware. It must have significant potential product differentiation, both current and foreseen, over existing technologies. Preferred technologies could be commercialized within 2-3 years and with $1-5 million of investment. Ms. Hatsopoulos was the Founding CEO of Z Corporation from 1994 through its successful sale in 2005.
