    Description:

Alaska Growth Capital is a venture capital firm that provides permanent working capital loans, long-term loans, commercial mortgages, and equity investments to companies in commercial real estate, manufacturing, retail, fish processing, transportation, tourism, and service industries. A leader in community development finance, having mobilized more than $150 million in loans and investments to businesses throughout Alaska, AGC makes equity investments in new or rapidly growing businesses with a clear exit strategy. A subsidiary of Arctic Slope Regional Corporation, AGC was founded in 1997. The company considers investments across Alaska, but prefers to support low-income, rural communities. AGC provides customized commercial loans of $100,000 to $10 million to various companies throughout the state, including large native corporations, small start-ups, and non-profit organizations. Loan terms range from 7 to 25 years with varying interest rates, depending on the use of funds and the amount of risk. AGC has provided over $500 million in capital to its customers.
