Established in 1993, Antares Capital is a private venture capital firm investing equity capital in developmental and expansion stage companies, and in management buyout opportunities. Antares provides capital to exceptional management teams with needs in: Expansion financings, Management buyouts of existing businesses, Buyouts of minority shareholder positions, Developmental capital, and Special situations. Antares provides only equity investments, usually in the $500,000 to $5 million range. The firm prefers companies in the Southeastern U.S. or Texas with revenues of $1 million to $25 million. There are no industry restrictions, although Antares Capital does not invest in real estate, mineral exploration, distributors, franchisees, or project financings. Antares has raised four Funds in 1993, 1996, 2000, and 2007.
