Launched in early 2019, Georgetown Angel Investor Network amplifies the Georgetown start-up ecosystem with an innovative and inclusive angel investing network that engages and leverages the power of the diverse and global Georgetown alumni community. Georgetown Angel Investor Network (GAIN) is the only official Georgetown University-affiliated alumni angel network. GAIN puts forth Georgetown-affiliated companies for consideration and helps shepherd the due diligence process. seed investors. Usually the group invests in companies valued between $3-8M raising between $500K-$2M. All members of the network make their own investment determinations and are responsible for conducting their own diligence. GAIN members must meet the SEC criteria for accredited investors and complete the membership application and review committee process. The network works in partnership with university-wide entrepreneurial efforts, including the Georgetown Entrepreneurship Initiative (GEI) in the McDonough School of Business. GAIN is an alumni volunteer-run organization affiliated with the Georgetown Entrepreneurship Alliance (GEA) and overseen by the Georgetown University Alumni Association (GUAA).
