August Capital was founded in August of 1995 by David Marquardt and John Johnston, both formerly of Technology Venture Investors (TVI). Lobby was founded in 2021 by David Hornik and Buddy Arnheim and focuses on early-stage (Series A) investments in consumer, enterprise, fintech, and AI sectors.
