Longview Capital Advisors is the Family Office for James Lu, an Internet entrepreneur who is also the chairman of Grindr, the world's largest LGBTQ social dating service. Lu was a founder of textbook rental company Chegg and social network Yoolin, serving as its CEO. Yoolin was acquired by zhanzuo.com in 2007. Longview makes investments in Commercial Real Estate, Food and Beverage Establishments, High Growth Technology Enabled Businesses, Sports Enterprises, Farming and Agriculture, and Jewelry & Art, and Charities & Non-profit Organizations. In Fixed Income Real Estate Investment, Longview acquires, renovates, leases, and manages multi-family residential real estate in 2nd & 3rd tier cities in United States. Longview invests in quality food and beverage establishment, and operates one of the largest mid-to-high-end western food restaurant groups in Hong Kong. The firm also invests/acquires interesting technology enabled businesses that drives significant return. In 2020, Lu was a lead investor in the over $600 million acquisition of Grindr from Beijing Kunlun Tech Co.
