MB Venture Partners provides private equity capital for growing life sciences companies. Founded in 2001, the firm's first fund, Memphis Biomed Ventures, attracted investment capital of $22.4 million. A second fund followed in 2005 bringing the firm's total under management to $76 million. MB invests in seed or early-stage financings, but selected later-stage financings will also be considered. The firm will invest only in biotechnology and medical device companies, and is especially interested in product solutions for musculoskeletal disease. MB invests in musculoskeletal ideas across the United States and non-musculoskeletal investments in the Southeast or Midwest. The firm is a participant in the TNInvestco Program (see profile) since 2010.
