Miami Angels, formerly known as AGP Miami, is a group of over 100 angel investors based in South Florida. The group funds Seed and Series A technology companies with early traction across various sectors, however, will not invest in lifestyle brands, consumer goods, development shops, or financial derivatives. Miami Angels prefers to fund companies with operations in the Southeast United States. The group holds pitch meetings every four to six weeks where startups who have been through the selection process present to Miami Angels Members. Each individual Member decides whether to invest or not. As a group, the average investment is $285,000; ranging from $50,000 to $500,000. To date, Miami Angels has invested $18.0 million.
