OMERS Private Equity manages private equity assets for OMERS, the defined benefit pension plan for municipal employees in Ontario. OMERS holds C$109 billion in net assets, and net private equity investment asset exposure of over C$15.7 billion, as at December 31, 2019. OMERS invests and administers pensions for almost half a million active, deferred and retired employees of nearly 1,000 municipalities, school boards, libraries, police and fire departments, and other local agencies in communities across the province of Ontario, Canada. The firm's net investment portfolio is at $15.7 billion.
