    Description:

Prairie Capital makes equity and mezzanine investments of between $10 and $30 million, typically in support of companies undergoing an ownership change. Since the firm's inception in 1997, Prairie Capital has completed more than 60 equity and mezzanine investments in small and mid-sized businesses. Prairie is based in Chicago and invests nationwide. With over $500 million under management through its four funds, Prairie Capital focuses on the lower end of the middle market, partnering with management and/or other private equity investors to effect a recapitalization or buyout. Collectively, the investment professionals at Prairie have worked with hundreds of privately owned middle-market businesses across a range of industries. Prairie Capital typically invests in privately held U.S.-based companies with annual cash flows of $4 to $12 million or more and recurring annual revenues in excess of $20 to $100 million. Prairie Capital focuses on niche manufacturers, business services, consumer products, marketing services, specialty chemical, and food businesses. Prairie Capital's five previous funds were deployed in more than 90 platform companies representing in excess of $525 million of invested capital. The firm is currently investing out of its latest fund, the $350 million Prairie Capital VI.
