Formerly known as TechColumbus, Rev1 manages a continuum of investment funds made possible by the participation of Ohio Third Frontier and other strategic partners. Since 2003, companies in the TechColumbus incubation program have generated more than $123.6 million in revenue, funding 36 companies and creating 966 new high-paying jobs. The TechColumbus Incubator helps emerging technology businesses to span the gap between research and development and commercialization, accelerating growth and shortening time to market. In 2006, TechColumbus was awarded a grant by Ohio's Third Frontier Program. This $22.5 million dollar program, which is called TechStart, provides coaching and mentoring services as well as funding programs to early-stage companies in Central Ohio. The program has already more than doubled the number of promising companies across the region. TechColumbus' SpringBox Labs accelerator, with 62,000 square feet of flexible and innovative office, lab, and manufacturing space, is home to up to 40 technology startups. With more than $100MM in capital under management, Rev1 invests from concept through early-stage.
