    Formed in the 1930s by Alvin and Shirley Slater, Slater Family Holdings began with early investments in both sugar commodities on New York Futures Exchanges and multi-family residential buildings in the Boston real estate market. The Slater Family's business objectives and endeavors have evolved, adapted, and grown, spanning eleven states domestically and multiple international locations. Today, Slater Family Holdings is an umbrella entity that houses three distinct investment arms: Real Estate Properties, Financial Investments, and Private Equity. Slater Family Holdings has two management offices headquartered separately in Palm Beach Florida and Boston Massachusetts -Tremont Partners and Tremont Asset Management, respectively. Slater Family Holdings regularly participates in direct investments, private placements, and venture capital, both on its own and in conjunction with partners and funds. The firm has invested diversely in healthcare, technology, infrastructure, and consumer sectors across the world in the U.S., Africa, Asia, and Europe. KT Investments is the financial investment arm of Slater Family Holdings. KT Investments has a policy of patient long-term capital investing with an emphasis on value and opportunistic action. KT invests directly and through managers in foreign and local equity exchanges, having local accounts from Vietnam to Peru, and Egypt to India. The firm has devoted significant time to investing in foreign debt, particularly corporate and sovereign emerging markets as well as hedged and unhedged currency investment and speculation. KT invests in developed, emerging, and frontier markets with an international lens and thematic perspective. Burn Later Productions is an award-winning independent film finance and production company co-founded by Sam Slater in 2012. Since its inception, Burn Later has produced over thirty feature films which have been distributed by Paramount, Sony Pictures, Universal, and Netflix, amongst others. The Slaters have an ownership stake in the Seattle Kraken, an NHL professional ice hockey expansion team based in Seattle, Washington.
