Southeast Investor Group (SEIG) is a peer to peer membership composed of partners from 32 of the Venture Capital Funds in the Southeast, six corporate venture funds, and 25 individual investors (highly successful tech executives who have built and exited sizable companies). SEIG invests in post-seed stage through Series A and successive rounds and typically targets firms seeking investments of $1.5M to $15M in each investment. SEIG seeks technology-based growth companies with a focus in Business Products (B2B), Wireless, Consumer Products (B2C), Cloud Services, Communications/Media/Entertainment, Data Analytics, Fintech, Healthcare IT, Logistics/Distribution software, and Network Security. Companies are referred by members, other investors, and dozens of tech hub sources, later selecting companies to present to the Group each month. To date, SEIG has reviewed more than 10,000 business plans and viewed more than 1,000 company presentations. In the past five years, SEIG members annually invested in an average of 35% of the selected presenting companies. Collectively, SEIG manages more than $3B in investment capital and since inception, SEIG Members have invested in more than 250 companies.
