    Description:

Standard Investments is the investment division of family-controlled Standard Industries. Sam Heyman engineered control over Standard via his GAF roofing company, and the enterprise is currently led by his sons-in-law David Millstone and David Winter. The family is worth north of $19 billion according to Forbes. Standard is a fundamentally-driven investment platform focused on the intersection of industry and technology. For venture capital, Standard invests in early-to-growth stage companies focused on technology and business model innovation, which enable businesses to be more data-driven, customer-centric and environmentally sustainable. We look for companies that are building the next generation of sustainable technologies: from virtual and physical security technology to energy storage to virtual manufacturing tools and electrified transportation. In media, the firm invests in companies with innovative and disruptive business models that seek to transform the way stories are told, enabling them to reach greater audiences and deliver compelling content.
