Trident Capital is a leading venture capital firm with more than $1.9 billion of capital under management, including its most recent fund, Trident Capital Fund VII. Trident invests in Software, Internet and Business Services companies across multiple stages, from early startup to growth equity. Since inception of the firm in 1993, Trident has focused its investments primarily in the areas of Software, Services and Internet, with particular emphasis on certain vertical sectors. In 2007, Trident commenced investing in the CleanTech sector. From the first fund in 1993 to the seventh fund in 2010, the firm raised over $1.9 billion and invested in more than 180 companies.
