    Description:

Formerly known as the Utah Fund of Funds, Utah Capital Investment is a $300 million State of Utah economic development program aimed at providing Utah entrepreneurs access to alternative or non-traditional capital. The Utah Fund of Funds will not invest money into any company or individual, but rather will invest in venture capital and private equity funds that commit to establishing a working relationship with the Utah Fund of Funds, Utah's start-up and business community, and commit to making investments in qualifying companies. The Utah Fund of Funds will invest in venture capital and private equity funds located both in Utah and outside Utah. The Utah Fund of Funds will seek to invest in quality funds that have successful track records, or managers with successful track records. Also, funds that have shown, or commit to show, interest in making investments in Utah are given high priority. Utah Fund of Funds' dollars are not geographically restricted nor is an office mandated, but frequent visits to the state, attending entrepreneur forums and conferences, and shopping deal flow is required. 38 Utah Companies have raised over $201 million from the Utah Fund of Funds portfolios funds.
